BPG Media Subscription Terms & Conditions:

New Subscription Offers

Subscription offers are open to new subscribers only unless otherwise advertised. Direct Debit is available to UK subscribers only. Please allow up to six weeks for delivery of your first subscription issue (up to eight weeks overseas). All prices where discounted are from the full subscription rate advertised in each title, include P&P and are correct at the time of going to press. If the magazine ordered changes frequency per annum, we will honour the number of issues paid for, not the term of the subscription.

Your Subscription

Your subscription contract will be fulfilled by BPG (Stamford) Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under registered number 03383048 whose registered office is at BPG (Stamford) Ltd, 1-6 Buckminster Yard, Main Street, Buckminster, Grantham, Lincolnshire, NG33 5SB.

If placing an order online when you click "Submit Order" you will receive an email acknowledging that your order has been received successfully and is being processed, the contract between us is not formed at this point. A legally binding contract is formed on the date we send you confirmation of your order with your subscription account number and payment has been taken.

You will receive this confirmation within 14 days by post or by email within 72 hours if you supplied an email address.

We will not be responsible if you fail to receive the written confirmation because you have supplied us with an incorrect postal address or email address. We reserve the right not to accept or process your order for any reason. All orders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by your payment card issuer. If we do not accept your order and your credit/debit card has already been debited, we will notify you and refund your card in full immediately.

If you have ordered a subscription for someone else, you may request a gift card to be sent to you to pass on to the gift recipient. Once you’ve placed your gift order, you will receive a postal acknowledgement within 14 days or an email acknowledgement within 72 hours (if you gave us your email address). Please allow up to eight weeks for delivery of the first subscription issue for both UK and Overseas orders.

We reserve the right not to fulfil and to cancel orders:

  • In the event of obvious inaccuracies in prices, except that we may fulfil your order at the correct price; 

  • If we are unable to obtain payment authorisation from the issuer of your payment card


Print Magazine Subscriptions
Print magazine subscriptions will either start with the next available issue or the issue you selected at the checkout. Although we do our utmost to ensure that your magazine is delivered at the same time as it is available in the shops (or sooner) it is possible on some occasions it may be unavoidably delayed. If this is the case, we would ask that you please allow an extra 5 days for delivery before contacting us. Print Single Issue Purchases
Print single issue purchases will be delivered to the UK within 1-5 working days unless otherwise stated. Some issues are sold prior to the issue on-sale date so please add the delivery time onto the issue sale date.

Digital Magazine Subscriptions
Digital magazine subscriptions will start immediately so you can access your first issue straight away! Once you complete your purchase you will be sent an acknowledgement email and your first issue will be available to download from your App.

Digital Single Issues
Digital single issues are available as both current and back issues. As soon as you complete your order you will be able to download your issue from your App.

We will deliver the magazines to the address you notify to us when you place your order. You agree that we will not be responsible for failure to deliver the magazines if you have supplied us with an incorrect address. We reserve the right to dispose of incorrectly addressed envelopes and their contents without an obligation to refund you or any person if they are returned to us and despite efforts to contact us we do not receive correct address details.

We will not be liable to you for any delay in delivery or non-delivery of magazines in the following circumstances:

  • Where the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us. 
  • Where such delay or failure is due to circumstances beyond our control or the control of our sub-contractors and agents, including but not restricted to war, electricity power failure, utilities failure, failure of telecommunications links, failure of transport infrastructure, fire, flood, government act, act of God, legislative constraints, strikes, labour disputes or malicious damage involving employees.

Our liability to you in the event of magazines being lost in despatch shall at our discretion, be limited either to replacement of the missing issues, to the extent permitted by law we exclude all other liability to you. Our exclusions of liability shall not apply to any damages arising from death or personal injury caused by our negligence or that of any of our employees or agents. These Terms and Conditions do not and shall not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Magazine Subscriptions with a gift
If the subscription offer includes a welcome gift, this gift is subject to availability and will be delivered separately within 28 days after your first payment has been taken.

If you bought the subscription as a gift for someone else, any gifts will be delivered to you, the purchaser. We are currently unable to send gifts direct to the magazine recipient.

In a very few instances we may have a gift which is out of stock, so we may need to substitute the gift advertised for one of equal or greater value if circumstances require. Please note that due to high costs of delivery gifts are not available to subscribers living outside the UK unless otherwise advertised. Due to logistics and costs it is not possible to include the newsstand gift with the subscription issues. To compensate, subscribers receive a discount price for their magazines over the year.

Payment methods

Recurring Payment Methods
A recurring payment method is where the payment recurs at the specified period. For example, an annual recurring payment will recur each year. The payment term will be specified before, during and after your purchase, which includes confirmation on your order acknowledgement email or letter.

A recurring payment is the easiest way for you to subscribe and is usually cheaper. This is because we can split the cost of your payments and you don't need to worry about when your next payment is due. We ask that you enter into a recurring payment agreement with the understanding that your subscription will continue for a minimum period of 12 months’ even if the frequency of payment is for a shorter period (for example quarterly).

Direct Debits
The type of recurring payment method we offer is a direct debit. Once a Direct Debit Agreement is completed and accepted, it remains active until cancelled. This means that we will continue to take the payment due until the Agreement is cancelled by you at your bank and/or with ourselves. Unless we change any information on the Direct Debit schedule (term, claim date or payment) we will not send a reminder the next payment is due. Once a payment has been collected, no refund will be made and any cancellation will be from the next claim date of the payment. You have the right to cancel your Direct Debit in accordance with Direct Debit Guarantee below. If you do cancel, you will receive only the issues you have already paid for.

The Direct Debit Guarantee
This Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits. If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit BPG (Stamford) Ltd will notify you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request BPG (Stamford) Ltd to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request. If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by BPG (Stamford) Ltd or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society. If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when BPG (Stamford) Ltd asks you to. You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify us.

One off Payment Methods
A One off payment is where the full payment is taken immediately at the time of purchase. Once a payment has been made, no refund will be given if outside of the 14-day cooling period. This starts once you have received your order confirmation. There are several payment methods you can use to make a one-off payment: 

  • Credit/Debit Card

Credit/Debit card payments will be taken immediately and show as BPG (Stamford) Ltd.

When paying for a subscription via your Credit/debit card your subscription is usually for a minimum period of 12 months. If the offer period is different then the number of issues will be shown on the offer page. 

  • PayPal   

Paypal payments will be taken immediately. Once you have reviewed your order you will be taken via the PayPal site to complete your payment. Once your payment is successful you will be redirected back to our website order confirmation page. The PayPal payment will show as BPG (Stamford) Ltd on your account. If you have any issues with your PayPal payment, please file a dispute through the usual PayPal channels.

Short term or trial subscription offers
Sometimes we offer a magazine subscription by recurring payment for a shorter time period, or just a few issues. This means that you will receive the first few issues for a discounted price. The issues you receive during this trial period are covered by your first recurring payment. Should you decide that you do not wish to continue with the subscription you will need to cancel the next payment immediately after the first payment has been taken. However, once the 2nd payment has been claimed from your bank account the subscription will continue until cancelled by yourself at the bank and/or ourselves. Trial subscriptions are limited to three per person in any 12-month time frame. They cannot be for the same magazine and we reserve the right to cancel and refund any subscriptions that are over and above this personal limit or are for the same magazine

Cancellations and refunds

Where a minimum term of 12 months is advertised, cancellations are not permitted until the end of this initial period and we will not issue you a refund. Should you wish to cancel after the minimum term, please contact our customer care team in writing (see contact details below).

For all other subscriptions or after the minimum term of your subscription, you may cancel your subscription contract at any time by notifying our customer services team in writing. See contact details below. We will refund you the cost of the issues not yet issued to you at the time you notify us of your wish to cancel.

Please note that all credit card refunds will be issued in sterling. Your Credit Card company will convert the sterling amount into your local currency and may charge an additional fee for completing the transaction. Payment & Prices

Prices displayed on the subscriptions section of the website will prevail at all times in relation to orders placed on-line. Prices quoted on screen include delivery charges and taxes (where applicable). You either make a one-off payment for a one or two year subscription or make ongoing direct debit payments for any other subscription term.

If you make ongoing direct debit payments we reserve the right to increase our prices at any time and will notify you in writing with 10 days notice of any such price increase.

Although we try to ensure that all prices are accurate, errors may occur. If we discover an error in the price of your order, we will inform you as soon as possible. You will have the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled. We will refund you in full if you cancel the order and have already paid.

If you are under 18 or are not using your own credit/debit card to pay for the subscription, you must ask the permission of the credit/debit card holder before entering the payment details. By clicking "Submit" you are confirming that you have obtained the express prior permission of the credit/debit card holder.

Covermounts and Prize Draws
If any of our magazines are put on sale in the UK and which contain a covermount gift or supplement you are not automatically entitled as a subscriber to receive these covermounts or supplements. Occasionally some subscriber copies may be sent with covermounts and supplements included, however this is the exception rather than the rule. If you wish to guarantee your receipt of any covermount you should purchase an additional copy of the magazine from your local retailer. Digital only subscriptions will not receive supplements or covermounts.

Magazines delivered to overseas addresses shall not contain covermount gifts or supplements.

Prize Draw and Competition Rules
All prize draws and competitions which are associated with our magazine subscription offers are subject to separate terms and conditions. For the avoidance of doubt, such prize draws and competitions are only open to you if you are able to supply us with a billing address in the UK.

Personal Information
We use the personal and transactional information (e.g. name, address, e-mail address, credit card details) ("Personal Information") you supply to us in order to fulfil your subscription order. On the online order form we will ask you about receiving details of our products and services and/or those of third parties which may be of interest to you. You should tick the relevant boxes to indicate whether or not you wish to receive such information.
Unless a member of our staff has been fraudulent or negligent, we will not be liable to you for any losses you may suffer as a result of unauthorised access by a third party to the information (including in particular credit/debit card details) you transmit when you place an order. It is your responsibility to ensure the security of your own credit/debit card details to avoid unauthorised use

These Terms and Conditions are subject to change. Please also refer to our Privacy and Cookie Policy for further details on how we process and store your personal information and adhere to GDPR.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. You hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts notwithstanding the jurisdiction where you are based.

These Terms and Conditions override any contrary terms or conditions published by us in relation to any order placed by you with us.
